The Lairage Management software is used to record details about animals as they arrive. It runs on a PC and writes it’s data to a local SQL database. It collects it’s initial data from the site server’s bookings table. It provides the ability for the operator to either enter or scan passports and validate and record those details into the database.
The movement records are also scanned in and welfare information recorded. The Lairage Management system will record data in one of two modes – UTM mode where cattle which are under thirty months old are processed, and OTM where cattle over thirty months old are processed. When switching between these two modes, the system can be configured to lock itself down (this includes the Lairage management and Lairage touchpanel stations) so that no cattle can be processed for a given period of time thus enforcing segregation. These details are then passed through to stations further along the kill line process such as the Ordering Point, Feet and Nose Point, TSE Sampling Station and finally the Grading Station.

Movement Reporting...
Cattle movements can be recorded through the Lairage Management software. Our system allows them to be scanned and then the data is automatically sent through to the BCMS via the CTS Online Web Service.
